Our commitment to quality
One of our core values is a commitment to quality and excellence in all that we do. We intentionally invest in highly skilled staff, systems of good governance and sound financial management.
We work to national standards
The Green House is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). We work within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and ensure our services meet their national standards.
All our therapists are registered with a national regulatory body. This means that their skills and practice are independently assessed to guarantee that they meet national requirements.
Our Board of Trustees work to the Good Governance Code for the Voluntary and Community Sector. This means they ensure that the organisation meets all our legal requirements and remain focused, transparent and accountable to our funders, clients, and the Charity Commission.
We invest in effective systems and infrastructure
We have a range of policies in place to ensure that we provide consistent services and protect our clients and staff. These cover areas including data protection, record keeping, confidentiality, safeguarding and complaints.
Our governing documents and financial systems ensure that we make effective use of our resources and closely monitor what we do and what we spend. Our trustees and management team regularly review our performance and impact to ensure we are meeting our aims and plans.
We are consistently learning
We are committed to the ongoing continued professional development of our staff. We invest in regular training opportunities to ensure their work remains informed and relevant. We also employ a team of external clinical supervisors to support our staff and ensure we continue to provide therapeutic services of the highest standard.
We are always looking for ways to improve and we welcome feedback from clients, funders and stakeholders. We regularly review our client data and the latest research in mental health and the sexual violence sector to understand emerging trends and develop innovative ways of meeting need.
“If you listen to a child, young person or adult who has worked with The Green House you realise what a fundamental difference it makes to them. It is an amazing service.”
