Our Management Team
Michelle Windle, Director
Following an initial career in advertising and marketing with Coca-Cola, Michelle retrained as a counsellor before moving into management within the charity sector. Michelle is a passionate advocate of the effectiveness of therapy to transform lives and believes this is particularly true of victims of sexual abuse who have made the brave decision to seek out help and support.
Beckie Johnson, Service Delivery Manager
Beckie joined the team in 2012 and oversees the operations side of The Green House. Beckie cares about everybody getting a warm welcome and keeps everything here running smoothly.
Angela McCormack, Head of Counselling
Angela oversees the clinical practice and quality of our adult services team. As an accredited UKCP registered psychotherapist, MBACP, clinical supervisor and trainer she brings a wealth of experience to this role. Before joining The Green House in 2010, Angela held various managerial roles in the not-for-profit sector, including 8 years for ChildLine/NSPCC, where she was a Director.
Tracey Richardson, CYP Clinical Lead
Tracey manages the clinical practice of our CYP team and is responsible for the quality of services we provide for children and young people. Tracey has extensive experience of working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and who have a variety of complex needs.
Claire Boulton, Development Manager
Claire leads on our communications and fundraising, sharing news about the work we do and working to make sure we have the resources to continue. She joined the team in 2016 after five years working in business development for London-based charity, Solace Women’s Aid.
Our Adult Services Team
Our team of 10 counsellors are all highly skilled, with an average of 14 years counselling experience between them. They provide counselling from our centre in St Werburghs and Knowle West Health Park.
Our Children and Young People’s Team
The CYP team consists of Lisa, our Family Support Practitioner, and therapists Kate, Josephine and Tim. They each bring extensive experience in working with children and young people who have experienced trauma. They provide therapy from our centre in St Werburghs and also offer sessions in Horfield, Easton and Knowle West.
Our Board of Trustees
Steve has been Chair since 2006. He served as a police officer for over 30 years in the Avon & Somerset Constabulary, retiring in 2001 as Chief Superintendent and the District Police Commander for South Bristol. Steve is passionate about the work of The Green House and brings huge experience in safeguarding and child protection to his role on the Board.
Janet joined The Green House in 2011. Her expertise as a Chartered Accountant is invaluable in her role as Treasurer, playing an active role in ensuring transparency and scrutiny of our finances.
Mike has been a trustee at The Green House since 2014. As a former Regional Mental Health Lead for NHS Direct, Mike brings valuable clinical expertise and experience in mental health provision to the Board.
John joined The Green House in 2012 and brings vital expertise in business planning to his role as a trustee. John has worked for the BBC for over 20 years and is currently the Natural History Unit’s Production Executive.
Kamala has been a trustee since 2015. She is an experienced barrister, currently working for St John’s Chambers. She brings specialist expertise in family law and local government to her role as a trustee.
Cecilia joined the Board in 2016. With over 20 years experience as a psychiatrist, she brings key expertise in mental health and psychotherapy to her role at The Green House.
Tabitha joined The Green House in 2015. She currently works for Lyons Davidson as a solicitor specialising in civil claims for abuse and clinical negligence. Her knowledge and expertise in this area is a vital asset to her role on the Board.
