Engagement and Voice Coordinator

30 hours per week (37.5 FTE)

£26,000 per annum (pro rata)

The Green House provides counselling and psychotherapy for adults, children and young people who have experienced sexual trauma including rape and sexual abuse at any time in their lives. Our counselling services are free and we provide up to six months of therapy for each client.

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and organised individual to join our Adults team in the role of Engagement and Voice Coordinator

About the role

This role is part of a developing project of work for The Green House which aims to bring survivors to the very heart of all we do. Our ‘Survivor Voice’ project works with adults with lived experience of sexual abuse to inform service developments, new projects; and help improve the sexual abuse sector.  We recognise that people with lived experience of abuse have particular insight and expertise that can help The Green House and wider sexual abuse system develop to best meet the needs of survivors.

The desired applicant will engage adults who have finished therapy in regular peer groups and activities, as well as providing a range of support to those waiting for therapy. This will include 121 sessions, signposting and resourcing clients, peer support groups and regular email updates/newsletters. They will co-facilitate adult survivor voice groups at The Green House, as well as coordinate all feedback mechanisms for the adult’s service. For example, feedback forms, surveys, or other ways we may receive feedback.

As the service grows, there will also be some development work within the role, supported by the Clinical Lead and other members of The Green House.

About you

You will be a creative, dynamic and organised person, passionate about working with adults and with a good understanding of the impact of sexual abuse. You will have a passion and commitment for improving services and sectors to best serve the people that need them. You will have some experience working in the mental health or sexual abuse sector. You will be a good problem solver with the ability to take ideas and make them into a reality. You will also be an excellent communicator, with the skill and ability to engage and empower people with a diversity of backgrounds and experiences.
